Q: What are the advantages of having a RemingStone Quartz Overlay compared to other traditional products like vinyl floor or tiles?

A: Permanent Bond. With our quartz overlay you get a perfectly seamless bond to the substrate, meaning it is impossible to delaminate.

1. Strength. RemingStone is a proprietary blend of quartz, polymers and cementitious material, making far stronger and more flexible than traditional concrete overlays. The flexibility allows it to move with the substrate without cracking.

2. Sanitary. Without grout or joints between floor boards it’s impossible for bacteria to nest in the non-porous surface.

3. Resistant. RemingtStone is resistant to scratching, weight and most chemicals.

4. Handcrafted and therefore truly unique.

Q: How do I maintain the surface?

A: ZERO-MAINTENANCE surface protection. You may wonder how I maintain the floor. The question is “how often do you want to polish up the floor”. The floor itself requires no maintenance, and with our industrial mop-on “wax” and detergent you can renew the look anytime as needed. Whether interior or exterior we have a solution for you.

Q: Where can I apply the RemingStone Quartz Overlay?

A: ANY solid surface! Our unique system allows application over carpet glue, tile, wood and more. Saving time, money and mess with our Remodel Without Removal process. Some surfaces may require preparation. Please call, text or email us to request a quote.

Flattening vs. Leveling

Q: Does RemingStone “Level” the floor?

A: Only when specified. The coating is 1/16”-1/4” thick which is all that is needed to last for decades. Our strength comes from the quartz stone aggregate and proprietary admixes, not from thick application like an average strength concrete, which needs to be 4” thick to have any strength at all.

A: When specified, floor leveling can be achieved in lifts of up to 3”.

Slip Resistance

Q: Are RemingStone floors slippery?

A: No, the surfaces are coated in American Disabilities Act compliant products. Additional slip resistance can be added through texture or our invisible, non-slip additive in the top coats.

Crack Repair

Architectural Outfitters’ 1 year warranty

1-Year Structural and molecular bond Warranty - During the first three years after installation, Architectural Outfitters, at its sole option, shall repair or replace product if it fails to maintain functional structural or molecular integrity for the intended purpose of the product solely due to defective manufacturing or defective coating installation. This applies only to Architectural Outfitters proprietary products that have been handled, installed and maintained in the manner recommended by Architectural Outfitters or by Architectural Outfitters. Sealer is warranted to meet or exceed 24 hour stain testing for the 1 year warranty period, this warranty does not cover excessive abrasion, misuse of abrasives or abuse. Countertop surface scratches and chips are not included as part of this warranty, nor is structural damage caused by severe impacts or damage stemming from loss of support and/or excessive deflections by the supporting substrate or hardware. Architectural Outfitters shall have sole and final right choose a third party laboratory to determine whether a defect is stemming from the fabrication and warranty claim is valid. All installations (where applicable) must be performed by a qualified contractor or manufacturer as per local codes and/or Architectural Outfitters to be valid. Proper care must be taken to re-seal the surface as needed, Please inquire as to proper products used. Maintenance should be checked yearly and resolved as needed.

Lifetime Guarantee

Beyond the three year extended warranty: Architectural Outfitters guarantees our product to be installed as per manufacturer’s specifications and will replace the product at no charge per the conditions above.

Refund Policy 

14 day store credit policy provided on all online prefabricated and online product orders. Custom and made-to-order items are non-refundable unless circumstances meet the above conditions under warranty. Installations are non-refundable unless meet the above conditions and Architectural Outfitters reserves their right to correct any failures as covered in the above warranty.

Project acceptance forms are required for each stage of coating application. Once a stage is approved and accepted, refunds are no longer available unless circumstances meet the above conditions under warranty.
